Description

The origins of date production and use in Iran go back to about 4000 bc. Today, more than 400 types of date and various kinds of date-based foods are consumed by the Iranian people.
Iranian dates are one of the oldest products in southern Iran. Iranian dates are one of the five major agricultural exports. Due to the high production rate of Iranian dates and the tendency of consumer to use them, different kinds of dates are produced. Iran producing one million tons of dates after Egypt, Iran is the second-largest producer Persian dates in the world(Dates fruit in Persian called: Khorma [خرما] )
Iranian dates fruit are one of the most famous dates in the world. 
Chemical compounds of date fruit: In general, dates contain 25% sucrose, 50% glucose, and albumin, pectin, and water. In addition, it contains various vitamins such as vitamins A, B, C, E and some minerals. (In different types of dates, some cases are more and some are less).
